Ha Noi GM/IM/WGM Chess tournament 2024

The Vietnam Chess Federation has the honor to invite players to participate in the "HANOI GM/IM/WGM CHESS TOURNAMENT 2024".

1. Date: 
19th March – 25th March 2024
Venue: The events will be held in Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center, a very beautiful and convenient place at the center of Hanoi. The dates are 19th (opening and Round 1) to 25th March, 2024 (Round 9)

2. Organiser: Viet Nam Chess Federation and Future grandmaster chess Club.

3. Chief arbiter:
IA GM Bui Vinh; GM Nguyen Anh Dung

4. System:
There are three: GM group, rating category 7-8 and IM group category 2-3, WGM group category 1-2. Number of round: minimally Round Robin 9 games, maximally Round Robin 11 games in each groups.

5. Time control: 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move starting from the 1st move.

6. Default time: 30 minutes

7. Registration: The registration deadline is 19th Feb 2024.

8. Entry fees for each tournament: USD

9. Prize:
Certificates will be provided for participants of the tournaments.

10. Transfer:
The estimated taxi fare from Noi Bai Airport to the tournament venue is approximately 300.000 VND.

11. Hotel:
There are many hotels available with prices ranging from 300,000 VND to 350,000 VND per night, and they are conveniently located within a 5 to 10-minute walk from the playing hall.
