The Vietnam Chess Federation has the honor to invite players to participate in the "QUANG NINH & HANOI GM/IM/WGM CHESS TOURNAMENT 2024".
1. Tournament and Date:
Tournament 1: Quang Ninh GM/IM/WGM chess tournament: May 14th (Opening and Round 1) to 19th (Round 9), 2024.
Venue: Quang Ninh Exhibition of Urban Planning & Expo, Ha Long Ward, Ha long city, Quang Ninh province, Viet Nam.
Tournament2: Ha Noi GM/IM/WGM: May 21st to 26th, 2024
Venue: The events will be held in Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center, a very beautiful and convenient place at the center of Hanoi. The dates are May 21st (opening and Round 1) to May 26th (Round 9), 2024
2. Organiser: Viet Nam Chess Federation and Future grandmaster chess Club.
3. Chief arbiter:
IA GM Bui Vinh; GM Nguyen Anh Dung
4. System:
There are three: GM group, rating category 7-8 and IM group category 2-3, WGM group category 1-2. Number of round: minimally Round Robin 9 games, maximally Round Robin 11 games in each groups.
5. Time control: 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move starting from the 1st move.
6. Default time: 30 minutes
7. Registration: The registration deadline is 14th April 2024.

9. Prize:
Certificates will be provided for participants of the tournaments.
10. Transfer:
The estimated taxi fare from Noi Bai Airport to the tournament venue is approximately 300.000 VND.
To Quang Ninh: There are some direct buses from Quang Ninh to Noi Bai Airport and vice versa
11. Hotel:
There are many hotels available with prices ranging from 300,000 VND to 350,000 VND per night, and they are conveniently located within a 5 to 10-minute walk from the playing hall.
